Insertingaashmediacard
Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingacard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisaction
reducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
Toinsertaashmediacard,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatthecardiscorrectlyoriented.
2.Insertthecardrmlyintothe4-in-1mediacardreaderslotorsmartcardslot.
Iftheplug-and-playfeatureisnotenabledfortheinstalledashmediacard,dothefollowingtoenable
thefeature:
1.OpenControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClickDeviceManager.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconrmation,typethe
passwordorprovideconrmation.
4.FromtheActionmenu,selectAddlegacyhardware.TheAddHardwareWizardstarts.
5.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Removingaashmediacard
Attention:
•Stopalltheactivitiesinvolvingthecardbeforeremovingit.Otherwise,dataonthecardmightbe
damagedorlost.
•Donotremoveacardwhilethecomputerisinsleepmodeorhibernationmode.Otherwise,thesystem
mightnotrespondwhenyoutrytoresumeoperation.
Toremoveaashmediacard,dothefollowing:
1.ClickthetriangulariconintheWindowsnoticationareatoshowhiddenicons.Then,right-clickthe
SafelyRemoveHardwareandEjectMediaicon.
2.Selecttheitemyouwanttoremovetostopthecard.
3.Pressthecardtoejectitfromyourcomputer.
4.Removethecardandstoreitsafelyforfutureuse.
Note:IfyoudonotremovethecardfromyourcomputerafteryouejectthecardfromtheWindowsoperating
system,thecardcannolongerbeaccessed.Toaccessthecard,youmustremoveitrst,theninsertitagain.
