General Setup Commands
General setup of an IP module is port-independent (physical s0, s1 etc.). The following command set is used to set
the global configuration.
General Commands – Setup
Command Syntax dialout serial s0/s1
Description
Dialout serial s0 is used to do a Manual Telnet dialout (Internet-to-serial
connectivity). It is invoked from the command shell.
Dialout serial s1 is used to initiate a Dialout session to the modem. From the serial
s0 side, the user can open a dialout session to serial s1 (built-in modem).
The configured escape string from s0 (+++inets0) is used to terminate the dialout
session and return to the command prompt.

1. When invoked from Serial Shell (dialout serial s0).

This command is not supported through Telnet dialout.

Restores the factory defaults.

All the previous configurations will be lost upon invoking this command. The
changes are made permanent only if the “save config” command is invoked.
